What inspired me? Frustration. The last SCOTUS decision, in particular Justice Kennedy's concurrance in Hamdan (HT Hughwitt)
So, here I am, officially a blogger. I apologize in advance for my errors, whether linguistic, technical, or protocol. I covet your feedback and advice in these areas as well as your thoughts on the subjects. There are several issues that I have with the SCOTUS ruling, most of which hae already been raised in blogosphere but I am having difficulties linking.
1. The SCOTUS is not given jursidiction to rule over enemy comabatants (previous SCOTUS rulings: 1950, in Johnson v. Eisentrager & 1942 Ex Parte Quirin
2. SCOTUS is not authorized to enlist the US in a treaty, precisley what this ruling did (Geneva convention)
UPDATE: I am delaying further blogging, I am having a lot technical problems with the Townhall screening software. I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner or later.
UPDATE 2: All seems well now, the ring has been cast into fires of Mount Doom, and links are now working.
